Webinar Description

Webinar Theme:
We all view the world in different ways through our values, beliefs and life experiences. This webinar will explore valuable questions such as; How do people view our boarding and school community? Is our perspective different to our families and does our lens need adjusting? What are some practical ways to adjust the field of view in our school community? Anthony has led the Indigenous Education Program at Kinross Wolaroi School for nine years and in 2018 was the inaugural winner of the Excellence in Indigenous Boarding Award co-sponsored by IEBA and ABSA. Anthony has developed NSW Education Standards Authority registered professional learning courses that aim to develop staff cultural knowledge. He also leads cultural immersion trips to the Northern Territory for both staff and students. The tour goal is to ‘widen our staff and students’ frame of reference, simultaneously educate and inspire our school’s leaders of tomorrow through two-way learning’.
  • Increasing connection to the boarding school environment and creating a sense of belonging.
  • Engaging all students in Indigenous Culture.
  • Engaging families in the boarding school experience.
  • The importance of staff development.
