Tina Campbell
Principal - St George's Anglican Grammar School
Professional Bio
I am currently Principal of St George’s Anglican Grammar School, a member of the Anglican Schools Commission group of schools. It is a unique school in the centre of Perth where the city is its campus.
Prior to this I was Head of Boarding at St Mary's Anglican Girls School. I have over 30 years experience in the educational field across a variety of different leadership roles and contexts within both Australia and the UK. In 2016 I was recognised nationally for my leadership by being awarded the Australian Boarding Schools Associations Premier Leaders Award. I am passionate about the holistic education of young people and seek to make a positive difference to the lives of the students in my care. Prior to becoming Principal, I have held a variety of educational leadership roles as Head of Faculty, Head of Department and Head of Year across a range of schools both coeducational and single sex.
I have excellent communication and people management skills and enjoy the many challenges and rewards of working within a school. I have a strong history of performance based achievements and am passionate about the importance of gratitude and a growth mindset. I have lived experience in Positive Education including attending a training program through Geelong Grammar School. I possess a strong work ethic and encourage life long learning in all within a school. In 2018 I attended a residential course at Harvard University completing a Principals Leadership Course at the Harvard School of Education, Leadership: An evolving vision. The course focused on the crucial importance of establishing a positive culture within a school - a vital component of any schools success.
In 2020 I completed my Masters of International Educational Leadership with distinction through Charles Sturt University. The international context enabled me to look at educational ideas and pedagogy from a worldwide perspective. I have also started additional studies at Harvard University by taking the first of four units in a Certificate in School Management and Leadership (CSML) course. I continue to learn and grow in my leadership journey.
My lifelong mantra is to ‘do what you love and love what you do’ - I am indeed blessed in being Principal of St George’s Anglican Grammar School as it is in this role that I am able to pursue my passion for teaching and nurturing young people within the context of the Anglican faith.
