I am passionate about boys' literacy and reading. I am a teacher with a Bachelor of Education and over 20 years’ teaching experience in international schools and throughout Australia (Qld, NSW, WA). I also ran my own tutoring business, for over 10 years before embarking on Literacy For Boys, an online education business. LFB is my response to the issue with boys' literacy and the huge lack of resources that boys can engage with.

Literacy is fundamental to success in life. It’s important for an individual to not only read the words on a page but also engage successfully with the text. Literacy for Boys was developed in response to a lack of literacy resources that addressed the needs of boys, how they learn and what they need from their literacy.

Recently I have been seeing excellent results with girls using the LFB program. This has prompted an addition and tweak to what is available, especially for schools. Literacy For Kids will be launched soon. LFK will use the same core elements to positively engage students, great topics delivered in a format children engage with. I hope this will enable us to help even more kids who struggle with reading and literacy.
