James is a registered counsellor that has spent two decades counselling men and boys across remote and regional Australia, including the Pilbara, the Kimberley, the NT, Northern NSW and Far North QID. Whilst currently back doing direct counselling, he has spent many years managing and working in the fields of Sexual Assault, Child Sexual Abuse, Problematic Sexualised Behaviour and Youth Sexual Violence.

James grew up in PNG and Far North QLD and went to boarding school in Brisbane from years 8-12 (1989-1993).

James was amongst a cohort of young men groomed by a junior master that went on to offend against other students.

James sits on the QLD Government roundtable for Sexual Violence Prevention.
